Green School - Green Community
A sustainable plan for food security
Our Food Security Initiative, 'green school, green community' program is geared to combat food insecurity in a sustainable manner, by empowering children in schools and the preschool children's mothers to grow their own organic vegetables in school gardens and preschool gardens and subsequently in their homes & communities.
All the photos in the collage above are from our
'Green school- green Community program' implanted in Government Schools in Tamil Nadu from 2017 - date
, which has resulted in Organic vegetables being available from the school garden to be used in the school nutrition kitchen to provide meals for the vulnerable school children & also the children were able to sell surplus vegetables, and use that money to sustain their gardens.
