Serendip Be The Change Foundation, is delighted to announce our Charity Gala, in the beautiful ambience of ‘Bask by Coffee?’ in Chennai, featuring an exclusive 8-course dinner curated by Sri Lankan Celebrity Chef Lucky Liyanarachchi and his expert team, who are being especially flown in, for this culinary extravaganza, from the exquisite Maniumpathy Boutique hotel, Sri Lanka. Through their beautifully crafted multi-course menu, Chef Lucky and his team will take you on a magic carpet ride of exquisite flavours to their Emerald Island of Sri Lanka. Proceeds from sales of the Gala dinner tickets goes towards child nutrition, child safety, & women empowerment. Gala, and will showcase their culinary expertise with Sri Lankan cuisine,
cooked and plated to perfection and served in the lovely ambience of the ‘Bask
by Coffee?’ in Chennai, in collaboration with Bask’s Head Chef Deepesh Chandran
Attupurathu and his team.

Chef Lucky, a veteran in the culinary industry, has vast experience in Sri Lankan and international cuisine and has had the privilege of showcasing Sri Lankan food in several countries around the world in his illustrious career.

The 8-Courses menu of Maniumpathy’s Signature dishes
Maniumpathy, a heritage home in Colombo Sri Lanka, has come to be known for its delectable Sri Lankan cuisine. Be prepared to be swept away on a journey of discovery savouring the unique flavours of Maniumpathy’s signature dishes.
The menu encompasses dishes from the North to the South of Sri Lanka showcasing the emerald island’s exclusive favours. Commence your Lankan Culinary journey with a flavoursome Lankan style mocktail served with currapincha kokis amuse-bouche, followed by two courses of vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian Hors D'oeuvres. Savour Chef Lucky’s personal favourite ‘Rasam soup’, served as the 4th course along with the traditional Sri Lankan ‘Kottu’ appetiser as the 5th course. The authentic Jaffna thali, the main course, the number one bestseller at Maniumpathy’s restaurant, features Northern style vegetarian dishes, a choice of Crab, fish or meats, Pol Sambol, Mango chutney, which is served with string hoppers & red/white rice as the staples. Education without Hunger’ - A sustainable solution to combat malnourishment faced by Sri Lankan Tamil children in Jaffna, by setting up organic nutrition gardens, teaching them to cultivate & harvest their own organic produce on the school campus, which is cooked in the school nutrition kitchen and the children are nourished with a well balanced noon meal.
‘She said NO!’- A prevention & cure approach to combat gender based violence. Prevention; teaching safety & self-defence techniques in schools to adolescent girls. Cure; Positive masculinity workshops for adolescent boys.
‘The Green Empowerment Project:’ poverty alleviation through income generation, empowering single mothers (civil war survivors) to handcraft & market green zero waste products (upcycled from locally sourced plant waste)
