Join us for a unique Chef Swap Charity Dinner Fundraiser featuring Chennai's celebrity chef Deepesh Attupurath Chandran, the talented executive chef behind the acclaimed restaurants ‘Coffee?’ and ‘Bask by Coffee.’ This exclusive event, hosted in the grand and luxurious ambiance of Maniumpathy, will showcase an exceptional Indian culinary experience crafted by Chef Deepesh himself—all while supporting the worthy cause of combating childhood malnutrition in Sri Lanka.

This is a private charity event, and tickets are obtained by making a donation to the Serendip Be The Change Foundation.

The exclusive Culinary Experience:
The dinner will present a delightful showcase of Indian cuisine with an exquisite buffet, carefully crafted by Executive Chef Deepesh Attupurath Chandran and the Bask team—Bhavesh Shah, Taruna Hinduja, and Nirav Shah, founders of ‘Coffee?’ and ‘Bask by Coffee’ (two of India’s most popular restaurants). The menu includes beloved traditional dishes from both South and North India, featuring selections from Saleem’s, a renowned brand from Delhi. Guests can savour classics like ‘Murg Makani’ and ‘Lucknowi Biryani’, alongside signature Indian kebabs and specialties such as ‘Murgh Hazariya’, ‘Mutton Nihari’, and ‘Mutton seekh’and ‘Paneer pudina tikka’. Additionally, Bask by Coffee’s best sellers, including their popular South Indian dishes like ‘Mutton Nihari’ and flavorful ‘‘Kerala Fish Curry’, will also be served, promising a rich and diverse culinary experience.
Cooking for a Cause:
Chef Deepesh and his team are culinary visionaries renowned for their expertise in blending tradition with innovation. With over 24 years of experience, Chef Deepesh has been the head chef at Coffee? since 1999 and now leads the kitchen at Bask by Coffee in Chennai. His team specializes in creating memorable dining experiences that celebrate locally sourced ingredients and bold, authentic flavors with a global appeal.
In a generous gesture, Chef Deepesh Attupurath Chandran and his team are volunteering their culinary services pro bono in support of child nutrition. They are flying to Colombo from India, especially for our charity gala, to showcase their culinary expertise in collaboration with Maniumpathy’s team. Together, they aim to create an unforgettable evening of exquisite Indian cuisine while making a meaningful impact on the cause of child nutrition.
The Cause: Proceeds will go directly to initiatives aimed at sustainably combating child malnutrition in Sri Lanka.
The proceeds from this fundraising dinner will directly support the Serendip Be The Change Foundation's 'Education Without Hunger' program, a sustainable initiative aimed at combating malnutrition among vulnerable Sri Lankan children in government schools. We establish organic nutrition gardens on school campuses, teaching students to cultivate and harvest their own vegetables. These freshly harvested organic vegetables are then cooked with rice and lentils in the school kitchen, enhancing the government noon-meal scheme and ensuring that students receive a well-balanced meal. Currently, we are working in 15 schools in Jaffna, and the funds raised from our fundraiser will help pilot the program in schools across other districts, starting with the Puttalam district, ensuring we support children from all communities.

Admission: The ticket admits one person only.
Event Date: The ticket is valid for October 18th only.
Non-Refundable: This ticket is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Seating Time: We recommend that guests be seated by 7:00 PM. If your party will be arriving later, please notify us via WhatsApp or by calling +94 766674441 with your expected arrival time, no later than 12 PM on October 18th.
Beverage Entitlement: Guests are entitled to two cocktails or whiskeys, as well as wine with dinner, courtesy of our Beverage Partner IDL.
